Description
The six children’s chairs were produced in 1967 by the Swiss furniture manufacturer “Horgenglarus”. Manufacturer’s name and year code on the bottom. The company “Horgenglarus” was founded in 1880 as a craft business and is the oldest chair and table manufacturer in Switzerland. The company name is derived from the name of the original company headquarters in Horgen/ZH and the location expansion to Glarus in 1902. In the past, the company “Horgenglarus” has produced designs by well-known architects and designers such as Hans Bellmann, Max Ernst Haefeli, Werner Max Moser, Max Bill, and Trix & Robert Haussmann. The six chairs are in their original, cleaned condition. They have a distinct but very charming patina. The chairs are very robustly built and even though they have been through so much, they are still very stable. No wobbling, no weak points. Solid beech wood, varnished. Seat height 31cm.
