Description
Chinese guardian lions in original condition. The lions are made from wood and were handmade sometime during the 19th century in China. The guardian lions are sometimes referred to as foo dogs or lion dogs and are thought to ward off evil spirits and ill intentions. They have a long history in China and other East Asian countries. They are always kept in pairs with one female and one male.
