Description
18th and 19th-century drinking glasses are by far our most popular items, and justifiably so. However, just every now and then a piece of antique glass tableware comes along that is breathtaking in its workmanship.
A mid 19th century glass butter cooler with its original lid and stand. The lid has a facet cut finial above a field of graduated diamond cuts. The graduated diamonds continue down the curved bowl and again into the stand rim which is finished with a large star cut.
The lid, bowl, and remainder of the stand we would describe as near pristine with light wear to the base stand as expected Whoever originally owned this cooler took great care of it
The workmanship is truly outstanding.
