Description
This rare pair of bar tables was drawn by Rud Thygesen & Johnny Sorensen for Magnus Olesen. with the furniture pieces of this series, Danish designers are in line with the formal and structural research of Alvar Aalto and other Nordic creators. The use of curved wood techniques and bending of laminated parts allows a production of qualitative, functional and flexible and modernist aesthetics. On this pair of Death Eating, the base is made of laminated wood. It supports two blacksmith trays. Aesthetic, original and northern, these two tall tables have a flexible and welcoming silhouette.
The Thygesen & Sorensen bar tables were made in Denmark by the Magnus Olesen firm. The manufacturer’s label is still present on the back of the sets. The tables are in good condition, stable, functional. Traces of use are visible on the surface of the black melamine. Price indicated for the pair.
