A rare and significant original printed engineering drawing by Gloster Aircraft Co. entitled: THREE VIEW GA – GLOSTER WHITTLE HIGH SPEED FIGHTER SPEC28/39ZC 25629 SCALE:- 1 TO 1 FOOT DRAWN BY SPENCER 27-11-39 This is a general arrangement engineering diagram of the Gloster-Whittle E28/39 jet aircraft, which was the first British jet-engined aircraft. It first flew in 1941. This original printed engineering diagram shows three different two dimensional cross section views of the aircraft. A scarce and important part of early jet aviation history in the Second World War. In a brand new deep black bespoke frame. Condition: Visible creases and folds with yellowing/discolouration. See photos. Dimensions: Total size (including frame) 79.5 cm high x 125 cm wide x 4 cm thick.
