The Dresden painter, draughtsman and graphic artist Hubertus Giebe
is one of the most important representatives of an expressive figurative painting
of the younger German post-war generation.
After his studies he was a master student of Bernhard Heisig for one year,
the old master of neo-Baroque, lifelike portraits of workers, historical images and nude scenarios.
