The reputation of Sarreguemines earthenware is well established. In the space of two centuries, the small family industry that began during the French Revolution has come a long way.
Many enthusiasts of these cheerful, colorful pieces are scattered all over the world.
Paul Utzschneider and Paul de Geiger, true one-man bands, propelled the small town to the forefront of the earthenware industry.
from the 19th century onwards, Sarreguemines offered the world a vast collection of earthenware, vases, planters, murals, fireplaces and more.
Today, the Sarreguemines earthenware factory is no more. Nevertheless, some of its flagship collections are still produced by various factories in France.
