Description
The sideboard has been enhanced by a full and detailed restoration A number of coats of teak and Danish oil were applied to feed and protect the wood and to bring the character out of the grain. It was originally made in the UK in the 1970s by G-Plan, and was designed by Robert Bennett. The highly figured Brazilian teak is matched by the use of the same timber in the interior. The cuts were carefully chosen and matched to accentuate the wood grain. The steel accents on the plinth and the handles were added later to give it a clean industrial look. The piece remains fully functional with very little or no signs of damage.
