Description
Surgical Instruments is part of the Suite Institutiones Chirurgicae by Lorenz Heister. Amsterdam, Janssonius-Waesberg, 1750. Etching on paper. The work belongs to the Latin edition of the famous work by the founder of modern surgery, first published in 1718. “His surgery owes its great success to the fact that Heister used the best sources and knew how to give his teachings the anatomical basis everywhere” (Hirsch-Hbotter).
