Portrait of A Young Woman is an original artwork realized by the French artist and illustrator Ren Franois Xavier Prinet between the end of the XIX and the beginning of the XX centuries. Pencil on watermarked paper. In excellent conditions. Beautiful artwork representing a woman sitting on a chair; the woman is in profile and is wearing a hat with flowers. The composition is characterized by soft pencil strokes that define the composition and create chiaroscuro effects to enhance the volumes of the body and the chair. Ren Franois Xavier Prinet (Vitry-le-Franois, 1861 – Bourbonne, 1946); Prinet was a French painter, illustrator, portraitist and decorator. He exhibited at the Salon des Artists Franais and at the Salon des Tuileries. In 1986, a great exhibition was held at the Muse Bourdel, Paris. The artist gained two special medals in 1888 and a golden medal in 1890.
