Sculpture Dog with a watch, Charles Valton, 1903 France
Exquisite sculpture of a dog, carrying a watch, made by Charles Valton in 1903, signed on the stone that serves as the base of the sculpture. The work was commissioned from this famous sculptor by friends of Commander Faure, as a memory of the Prussian War at the end of the 19th century, in which he and his companions participated. The dog depicted was his dog and the watch was the watch he wore throughout the battle.
