Svend Aage Tauscher (1911-1984), Danish artist. Oil on canvas. Modernist landscape with the moon in the sky. Dated 1965. The canvas measures: 84 x 64 cm. The frame measures: 4.5 cm. In excellent condition. Signed and dated. Svend Aage grew up in an orphanage. His paintings distinguished themselves by being created with the colors and materials he happened to have at hand. In 1956, the group “the naivists” invited Svend Aage Tauscher to participate in an exhibition at Den Frie in Copenhagen and in 1970 Galleri Munch Christensen held a retrospective exhibition of his works.
