Description
Oil on panel by Teodoro Wolf Ferrari executed in 1934 measuring 23.5×16 cm. The most investigated theme is the landscape. The still and rarefied atmospheres, accompanied by the play of doubles, characterized by precise brushstrokes and large backgrounds, of the first period that reaches up to the second decade of the 1900s, bringing Wolf Ferrari to the limit of pictorial decorativism. It is a completely different painting and absolutely distant from the Venetian “secessionist” attempts, certainly more intimate and played entirely on the emotional perception of some themes that are sincerely dear to him. He exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 1912, ’14, ’20 and ’38. The back has an inscription: il Grappa and Boccaor. Morning August 1934. Signed lower left. The state of conservation is good. It has a non-coeval frame measuring 33x26x3.5 cm.
