Description
Yellow Composition is a contemporary artwork realized by Umberto Mastroianni, in the late 1980s. Mixed colored screen print. Hand-signed by the artist on the lower right in pencil. Numbered on the lower left in pencil. Edition 13/99. Stamp printer “Tintoretto, Venezia”, on the lower right Good conditions. Umberto Mastroianni (Fontana Liri 21 sept. 1910 – Marino 25 feb. 1998) was a sculptor, painter and Italian partisan, recipient of many honors. After the war, the artist, through his artworks, was one of the most faithful to the moral meaning of the Resistance. In 1971 the city of Frosinone entrusted him with the execution of the monument to the “Fallen of All Wars”. In 1989 he obtained the Japanese “Imperial Prize”, a sort of Nobel Prize of the Rising Sun.
