Description
This is a vintage school poster used in Czech schools. It was designed by Marta Sonnbergova and Marie Malikova in 1988 and produced in 1990 by Komenium.
This particular piece is the first of a set of two posters, showing the first part of the Czech alphabet, and was designed to teach kids to write lower case and capital letters in the first grade.
Czech is one of the few countries where kids are still taught cursive writing. It is generally believed that cursive writing will promote the development of fine motor skills, accelerate the pace of writing and comprehension of text.
We think that this poster of cursive letters has a highly aesthetic and graphic quality and can be displayed as a decorative piece of art in any modern or more traditional interior.
The poster is in good vintage condition with some small wear and tear gained from the use over the years. There are no tears or holes on the posters but there is some patina of water marks on some parts of the poster.
