Description
Magnesite is primarily formed by the weathering of rocks containing magnesium. The ivory-colored stone, whose name comes from the Latin magnes, is believed to have been named after the landscape of Magnesia in Thessaly, Greece. Magnesite is not only sought after as a decorative stone, but is also one of the most important healing stones. Thanks to its high heat resistance, it is used as a raw material for special glasses, porcelain glazes and refractory bricks used in blast furnaces and smelting furnaces. The gemstone promotes serenity, contentment and relaxation, strengthens self-affirmation and self-love, brings patience and devotion and gives the ability to listen attentively.
The necklace is 25,5 cm long and weighs 0.69 grams.
