Description
Born in Murano in 1935, Carlo Nason comes from one of the island’s oldest glassmaking families. Nason appropriated the finest techniques of the art of glassmaking, creating a skillful blend of technique and high craftsmanship, tradition and innovation. Between 1965 and 1980 he collaborated with the A.V. Mazzega glassworks in Murano, whose products, now discontinued, are hammered at numerous international auctions. The lamp has a steel base, and was produced in glass, steel and aluminum.
