Description
3 superb and rare Louis Poulsen designer lighting fixtures from the 60s, no longer produced today.
Although Louis Poulsen is best known for other iconic lighting fixtures, the “Waggon” model has nothing to envy of other icons, both for its innovative design, its minimalism and its unique aesthetic.
At the beginning of the 1960s, the Louis Poulsen brand was inspired by old lighting fixtures, present in the first class carriages of Danish trains. The objective was to create a recessed luminaire, as discreet as possible, resulting in an aluminum structure covered with a brass disc, with a curved, matte opal glass lampshade.
with its rounded shape and its elegant marriage of brass and glass, this light fixture is a real gem. When switched on, it diffuses a soft and pleasant light, through the frosted glass, without glare, while the brass ring creates a nice contrast.
These 3 wall lights, which can also be used as ceiling lights, work perfectly with a standard E27 bulb (provided).
The visual effect is particularly striking when combined in threes.
The “Louis Poulsen” label is present, guaranteeing its authenticity on 2 of the 3 wall lights. On the third, the trace of the old label is present.
Nice patina, with some signs of wear testifying to their history.
