1970s French Original White Outdoor Metal Dining Chairs Various Quantities Available. We sourced these chairs from the Egon Eiremann house in Baden Baden, Germany. Egon Eiremann was one of Germany most prominent architects and furniture designers of the late 20th Century. The chairs were bought for his home, he had a reputation for hosting lavish and stylish gatherings and this set of over seventy chairs gives a flavour of the scale of his generosity and style. The chairs were not designed by Eireman but were selected for his home by him. The frames are steel which was plastic coated, a new technology for the time. Good strong practical outdoor chairs. Each chair is serviced and rejuvenated in our own workshops. The chairs have the grace and poise of folding chairs but they are fixed and do not fold. The bottom bars between the legs are a practical solution to stop the legs sinking into grass. The chairs are strong and practical and stack well. Seat height 45cm.
