Description
Stunning and particular sculpture depicting a female bust, Piccinelli lithoceramics on a wooden base, signed work,
completely worked and finished by hand by the well-known artist Lorenzo Pepe, (1912-1984).
He was born in Cassano delle Murge, in Puglia, but soon became Milanese by adoption, already as a child he drew a lot and not yet fifteen years old he entered the studio of the sculptor Adolfo Wildt and also as his student at the Brera Academy. Pepe opened his first studio in Piazza Leonardo da Vinci and had his first article in the Ambrosiano, signed by Carlo Carr.
His works can be found in museums and public collections in Holland, Belgium, Finland, Switzerland, Germany, France and America, in Italy he is present in the collections of the Museo ‘900 in Milan and the Ricci Oddi Modern Art Gallery in Piacenza.
